Different plant sites had a different template to monitor asset performance and life cycle due to which it was difficult to analyze equipment performance across the globe. The client wanted to build a standardized feeding template to maintain asset records and identify critical infrastructure to take corrective measures.

SharePoint Data Input – Excel files were hosted on SharePoint and Power BI was designed to ingest the data by creating live connections.
Power BI Calculations – All the excel calculations were transitioned to Power BI to offset any errors committed in excel.
State of Art Visualizations – The data was visualized using state of the art visualization by providing various options to provide key insights.
Schedule Refreshes – Automated daily refreshes on Power BI service for touchless refresh.
Project Scale Up – The project was scaled up from 3K assets to 12K assets tracking at a global level which led to a wider coverage of risk control.
Seamless Data Refresh – The data feed from regional teams was collected more efficiently in Power BI and the model was scheduled refreshed at a daily interval.
Risk Priority – Using the insights from the reporting output, key sites and key assets were prioritized to take corrective actions and avoid manufacturing breakdowns.
Budgeting – The reporting also provided key insights on aging asset which needed replacement and this was effectively accounted in budgeting discussions.
Process Improvements – The development of the Power BI dashboard not only pointed out key reporting errors but also helped improve overall process of asset management.
